During important services, recitals or recordings, it can be vital that the organ stays in tune and behaves itself. Organs can be temperamental, and a cypher will always appear at the worst possible time.
With this in mind it can be a sensible precaution to have an organ builder on hand to rectify faults quickly, so the performance can continue.
We will be pleased to ‘stand by’ to ensure all is well with the organ.
We have been in attendance through the Midnight Mass at Lichfield Cathedral to sort out any problems. This was at the request of the BBC. A wonderful service made perfect as there were no problems with the organ.
We have also attended 4 recitals by the world famous organist Carlo Curley. (You can visit him at www.carlo.com)
Two of these recitals were at Leicester Cathedral, one at Newark Parish Church, and the latest was in September 2004 when he played Rugby St Andrews Parish Church to open their restoration appeal.
We were also present during the recording of a CD in Birmingham St Paul’s Church, where again, our presence was enough to keep the organ in check.
