50 years or more of dust
This is the rail that holds the front pipes in place, and you can see the dirt, dust and debris. This amount of dirt is also in every pipe.
Above you can see the Great rackboard where all of the pipes stand. On the right are the shallots and tongues from the Trumpet. There is a worm or grub of some sort in the shallot. This will have made this note soft and slow to speak.
