37 years of dust.

Newspaper was found in the organ from 1968, and this corresponds with notes in an old tuning book stating tonal alterations in 1968. This would be when the organ was last cleaned.

These are the tops of the Great rack boards where the pipes stand. This amount of dirt and dust is inside every pipe.

Here the Swell pipes are removed apart from the Horn. The rack boards have been removed to reveal the dust on the upperboards.

On the left the Great soundboard is now clean and awaiting rackboards and pipes.

On the right the clean swell box has the pipes being replaced. From back to front you can see the Horn, Fifteenth and Principal.
