NEW TUNING

SLIDES

WE TREAT THEM ALL

WITH THE RESPECT THEY DESERVE

The old method for tuning metal flue pipes was to drop a brass tuning cone into, or over the top of the pipe. This would open or close the pipe to tune its speaking length.

If a tuning cone has not been used, the pipes will have been pinched instead.

Over many years of tuning the pipes can collapse at the mouth, making them soft or off speech.

New tin slides are fitted. These can be move up or down to tune the pipes.
